Duterte rarely mentions PH now One of World’s Fastest Economies

After six months at the helm in the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte has been touting just two achievements of his presidency – a vicious war on drugs and a surprise alliance with his country’s bitter rival, China.

Yet behind the curse-laden bluster and populist demagoguery that has defined Duterte’s rule, he presides over one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, and has put cabinet colleagues to work on drafting reforms and legislation to tackle the economy’s most stubborn structural problems.

Leni Robredo hits Duterte admin for slow NinaPH response

Vice President Leni Robredo is back in the country after several days spending vacation in the US.

She right away visited the victims of Typhoon Nina and assessed the efforts of the Department of Social Welfare Development in conducting relief operations.

Her direct assessment? “Very slow”

“Sa tingin ko medyo mabagal, mabagal iyong galaw,” Robredo said.

“Tingin ko kailangan tulungan kung paano mapapabilis kasi medyo unusual ito na eight days after hindi pa nga 50% iyong nababalik na kuryente,” Robredo added.

“Halimbawa dito, isang barangay pa lang napupuntahan ko dito, pero iyong reklamo ni Kap, na iyong galing pa lang sa amin na tulong ang dumating,” she added.WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW

Typhoon Nina battered Bicol region while the Vice President was in America. She boasted that she kept on working even when she’s in US. On her twitter account she said that her office has been working hard on the ground for a relief operation.

“Unfortunate na wala ako, siguro naman, kahit sino sigurong constituents ko dito matatanong ninyo lahat ng bagyo wala ako dito, absent, except now,” Robredo said.

President Rodrigo Duterte immediately visited the sites that were severely affected a day after the typhoon struck and brought additional reliefs through DSWD.
